Kommentar/Beschreibung

The need for responsible business conduct is more important than ever. While no company aims to act irresponsibly, the media relishes to highlights corporate misdeeds, like VW’s emissions scandal and Johnson & Johnson’s opioid issues. In this module, we’ll explore these cases and more, asking what it means to ‘behave badly.’ Is it just about breaking the law, or does it also include unethical actions that go against societal norms? We’ll look at how to define these ‘rules’ and what ‘good behavior’ means.
You’ll examine the moral and ethical challenges of managing organizations, balancing social responsibility with performance targets. We’ll discuss how changing social values are influencing organizational duties to stakeholders and society. You’ll encounter concepts like the purpose of business, who it serves, and your personal responsibility within an organization to uphold your values. This module will challenge your thinking and provide you with the ethical tools needed for responsible management.
